This is the online home of Will Strye. Here’s just a bit about me.

I currently work as a Sr. Solutions Architect for Amazon Web Services. I also spent several years as an Architect at Nike holding roles such as Solutions Architect, Domain Architect (where I ran a global architecture team), and as a Technology Strategist. Before that I was an Architect at Slalom Consulting in Portland, Oregon. And, prior to that a Solutions Architect and Director of Technology for the Portland, OR office of Ascentium, a digital agency headquartered in Bellevue, WA (Now called Smith). I’ve been working in the tech sector for over 20 years, with experience in the financial services industry and electronic discovery to name a few. Along the way I’ve developed a fondness for Agile methodologies, particularly XP and SCRUM, and am a certified scrum master.

Before getting involved in technology I studied Theatre Arts at Portland State University, and completed my post graduate studies at the Mountview Theatre Conservatory in the UK, as one of the first graduates of their directors program. I still keep involved in art, but these days focus more on writing and sequential art, some of which you may see here.
