A while back I mentioned that I was going to be working on a new site. After getting side tracked with various distractions, some work related and others… well let’s just say that it was more fun to write a forum engine than to put the finishing touches on the blog engine. This weekend I finally knuckled down and finished off the features needed to launch the new site. It can be found at http://www.malignantgenius.com. If you’re reading this on the new site, my apologies. I’ve decided to do some double postings for a bit until all of the kinks are worked out. Also the posts from Nu Feenix will be migrated over, so if you see references to that site you’ll know why.

I also managed to get a new Stick IT comic out. I’ve been a bit lax, but hopefully I should be back on a weekly schedule.

A couple of items of note for the new site.

Check out the gallery section. This is where you will find the Stick IT archives as well as a separate art gallery. I’ll be writing about some of the technology used to write this module in the coming weeks.
The RSS feeds are ready for the blog entries. You can track new blog posts as well as tracking the comments posted to an individual post. I have not yet rigged the RSS feeds for the galleries, but that will be forthcoming. Also I’d be interested in feedback from folks about how the RSS feeds are working for you. While they do meet the standard I have not been able to test them in as many feed readers as I would have liked.
In order to leave comments you will need to register on the site. This is my way of trying to control SPAM until such time as I can get a decent SPAM filter in place. If you update your profile after you register you can add a reference to a picture file that will be used to identify you in comments. The optimal size is 100px X 100px.
If you register please be aware that I will need to approve your login before your comments will show up.
